For the second year in a row, Mexico was chosen by expats as the best destination to live, according to the survey that InterNations conducts with expatriates from all over the world*. Nearly 12,000 people were surveyed, and, as happened in 2022, most chose the neighboring country of the U.S.
A long-time favorite
The Expat Insider survey has been conducted for 10 years, and in all of them Mexico has appeared among the top five places. Such preference is due to the culture, tourism, and the diversity of natural, gastronomic, and artistic attractions found in Mexican states.
In addition, for foreigners, the cost of living in Mexico is lower than in other countries, especially in destinations like CDMX, Monterrey, Guadalajara, and the Mexican Caribbean area in Quintana Roo. In this last place, people from all over the world arrive, thanks to the famous Riviera Maya.
